Famas/M16 mags

Are M16 mags compatible with the TM-FAMAS?
or are the TM FA-MAS mags compatible with other M16s?

I hear a Famas can take a armlite mag with a slight bit of modifacation to the magazine. Im not exactly sure no the details of this procedure though.
