m203 gas shells wont fill gas escapes through bb holes

hi my m203 shells when being filled do not retain there gas. As soon as the gas is inserted into the shell it comes out at the same time through the bbs holes. Originally when i had this problem i simply pushed a little bit on the primer to make sure that the primer was locked in place and normally that solved the problem. Recently i loaded a shell fired with it ,then i couldnt reload it and this is where i ask for help from you please
thnx

Unscrew the grenade about half a turn, you should hear the valve reseat. For the love of all that is holy, don't unscrew it completly, the valve assembly is a bitch to put back together without the proper tools.

What surebet said, and prod that primer at the bottom with a pencil or pen all the way in to seat the valve.
If you happen to want to take it apart, theres at least 4 bearings in the valve you need to NOT LOSE, to get them back in just put a bit of grease in the holes to hold the bearings in place while your screwing it back together. :)

Sometimes the gas excapes from the Oring that locks the gas in when u set it.

these go out a lot and can be ordered directly from the supplier :)

hey guys thnx last night i did some work i thought the gas was escaping from the base of the shell since i already blown that seal so i replaced it with rubberwashers from bathroom repair kits then discoverd that the gas was still escaping so i took the metal plug with the oring that holds the gas in the chamber held it plugged with my finger and attempted to fill to see if the seal was tight. the gas was escaping which i confirmed in a sink of water so i went into my kit of oring i purchased from zellers in the automotive section for 5$ replaced the oring on the valve and now the grenades hold gas almost like new just i feel like i cant get as much gas aa i used to get in before.
