Planned jg Bar10 Upgrades

I just got my Bar10 from shootsoft, ty christian :D, and have compiled a list of planned upgrades to do before the summer:

Laylax hopup chamber
Laylax 23mm X 250mm silencer
Teflon Cylinder
Zero Trigger
Bipod(not sure of brand yet)
Scope(not sure of brand yet)
PDI or Promotheus inner barrel

What do you think. Feel free to comment or flame the list

I'll tackle your list item by item.

Laylax hopup chamber
If this is the part you're referring to then it's only meant to work with AEG barrels and hop buckings. You'll need to get an AEG barrel replacement. In addition the hop chamber on the original rifle is quite durable so there's really no need to replace the chamber unless you really have to or you need the custom barrel length that an AEG barrel will provide.

Laylax 23mm X 250mm silencer
Unless this silencer is specifically designed for the TM G-Spec (or the BAR-10) then you'll also need a silencer adapter since the stock gun does not use a standard threading.

Teflon Cylinder
You don't specify what power output you're expecting or what strength of spring you're planning on using so this may be a waste of money. Up to an M150 spring I'd say it's not really necessary but could make things a bit smoother. Anything higher and you'll probably require a reinforced cylinder so this would be a good buy. It's pretty darn expensive for what it is but most cylinders for this kind of gun are.

Zero Trigger
If you've got the money then go for it. Things to note though: You may need to replace the o-ring since it doesn't fit perfectly and you'll lose the safety if you go this route. It does save you hassles with getting sears to fit etc.

Bipod(not sure of brand yet)
I hate bipods since I always seem to get them caught on branches etc. and I can shoot an airsoft rifle about the same without the bipod. Harris (or replicas) can mount directly to the front sling swivel stud but you're going to need to make sure that the front stud threads into the stock with a metal threading. If the stud threads into plastic you`ll need to figure something else out.

Scope(not sure of brand yet)
What you get is up to you but I wouldn`t get anything with more than a 3x magnification.

PDI or Promotheus inner barrel
If you`re still going to buy the chamber above then make sure you get an AEG barrel to complement it. I`d recommend Prometheus over PDI since the barrels have better consistency (there`s an article on that somewhere...) and you don`t necessarily have to buy special ammo which you may need to with the 6.01mm diameter of the PDI.

Although I dont have a sniper rifle, I will suggest a 3-9x scope. I often carry some form of binocular or monocular on the field for recon, a key role for snipers.

Use 3x for sniping, and stronger magnifications from further away for relaying recon info to your team.

+1 3-9 w/ mil-dot reticle

this rifle can obtain competitive FPS levels with simple MODs. A PSS10 130 or 150 would be all you would ever need if you even try a few of them. I have one just under 500FPS with stock parts. Its freakishly quiet too.

what o ring are you talking about? I just put a zero trigger in my g-spec tonight and everything fit pretty much like a glove...

With TM VSR's the o-ring that comes with the Neo Piston/Zero Trigger is known to provide a less-than-perfect air seal. The stock o-ring that comes with the VSR does a much better job. The o-rings that come with the clones are a hit-and-miss bunch though. The o-rings that come with an HFC USR-11, for example, are worse than the o-ring that comes with the Zero Trigger.
To make things really simple: To obtain optimum compression you will need to replace the o-ring.
