ICS AK74M cocking handle/bolt fix
Hey all,
During a small skirmish a few days ago my AK took a bit of a tumble (who knew there was a frozen pond under all that snow?) and the cocking handle part of the 'bolt' snapped off. It's still usable, fortunately, but there's now a hole that could let grit and dirt into the AK guts, and makes it slightly annoying to adjust the hopup. I'd like to know if a replacement part exists, or if there's a simple way of repairing such a high stress part. Contact cement and epoxy have thus far failed, and I doubt the body would survive an attempt at welding. I've checked out WGC, milsim supply, airsoft parts and a couple other places but haven't seen replacements for sale. I don't have a manual and couldn't find one online, so I don't even know the part number. So I turn now to the forum - can it be easily remedied, or am I pooched? Thanks, /kev |
You could buy the cocking handle. However they are hard to find and usually expensive. But then thers also
http://blazingtoys.com/ics_akparts.html Which to my knowledge has them in supply and at a pretty good price. Cheers, Relja |
Beautiful - this is exactly what I'm looking for, thanks! I was hoping to be able to get the handle by itself, but 40 bucks is nothing compared to what I've dropped for airsoft this past year alone :P Cheers,

aHA, so I wasn't the only one that managed to snap the ICS bolt carrier handle. I was the only one stupid enough to install a stiffer spring that caused the problem though.
I wonder if Blazing toys finally got the ICS bolts in stock. It's been forever. |
Ordered one from them and paid already. I do hope they have it in stock.
