150% hammer spring. hicapa. Do I need it?

Do I really need this on my hicapa? I have a metal slide and 150% recoil spring already installed.
It just seems like the hammer is striking my gun at an excessive force. What are the advantages of having a 150% hammer spring?
I know one is to allow green gas usage but the hicapa already does that well in stock..
Explanation would be appreciated.

Allows higher pressure gas usage on hotter days. When it's 30°C out, propane will exert a significantly higher pressure than when it's -10°C, and your regular hammer spring most likely won't be able to pound the valve open against the increased pressure.

I see so the enhanced hammer spring offers no other benefits like possibly dampening the shock from the slide?

it slows down slide movement as the extra spring tension offers more resistance in "recocking" the hammer in the blowback cycle
also makes trigger pull harder; though not very noticeable in the somewhat 2-stage stock hicapa sear

IMHO, dont put it in unless you are getting light strikes

nope, you'll need a rubber disc on the recoil rod for that....

Stronger hammer spring also strike the gas valve to full open position much faster which means more force that shoots the bb out(imagine like opening a twist off cap on a plastic pop bottle, you twist slowly, the gas hisses slowout out and lead to a lesser gas release when you open. Whereas if you just quickly twist it off it's much stronger release.)

FYI, on my Hi-Capa I am using the Nine-Ball hammer spring plus a bb to compress the spring even more for even higher rate....

Ohhhh good info. I guess it's staying in then.
