My new STAR M4A1 RIS - I'm lovin' it
 

Hey guys, I just got my new AEG yesterday. I can say, beautiful machine. The gun has no wobble on any part. Very solid and weight is pretty good. Always love the good old M4 SOPMOD. No camo on it, plain ! :P

Accurate stock and solid pop when you shoot it. The Bolt catch is fonctional. Nice finish and ... ahhh... i love it.

I'm planning to put a tightbore inner barrel That's it. That's gonna be for CQB and outside game. L85A2, gonna keep it for big game with long range game. :P M4 is supposed to shoot 320-340 fps :P I'll test it this week end.

The AEG comes with :

1 AN-PEQ2 STAR with a red laser ( No pressure switch, just have to twist the cap to make it work )

1 Vertical Grip

1 Magazine

1 Iron Sight ( Short, no carry handle )

Nice clean look! Is the body ABS, if it is how does it compare to TM.

STAR is fully metal. I had the good fortune of seeing the M4A1 in person, and I'm really looking forward to receiving my M16A3.

Yeah, STAR M4 is full metal and it's nothing compare to TM. More solid, absolutely no wobble on the handguard... finish is beautiful... Internals seems to be pretty good too. Easy and quick spring change... I haven't tried it yet.

My piece is not particulary exceptional... in fact, I like it like that. Always love AR and that's why I got another one ! Missing my old M4. Now, got better ! Yah !!!

Someone told me that the look, weight and finish is closed to a real M4.

What's the mechbox like? Is it a V2? Or did star get creative? ;)

The STAR AR line uses a modified version 2, with a quick-change spring feature via a removable spring guide, and a modified trigger mechanism incorporating a microswitch instead of the standard contacts.
