Private message limitations

Hey there.
Today I log in and find my Inbox is 100% full. It has been reduced from 2000 message limit to 50.

WTF? Anybody else had this happen?

Styrak May 24th, 2008 18:00

And now it just went back to 2000.

So I deleted over 1000 messages for nothing. Thanks ASC.

I'm sure somehow you'll survive.

Unless they were girls phone numbers, who cares?

Ronan May 24th, 2008 19:10

Knowing Styrak they were ether gun pr0n or girl pr0n.

Edit: Or both :D

one time i tried to log into ASC but all the screen kept saying was DNS error over and over... They found me rocking back and forth in a corner three days later caked in my own filth.

if the PMs are so important put em in a text document?

ILLusion May 25th, 2008 13:50

There is a function in every user's private message box that allows you to download all messages in an XML, CSV and TEXT format.

I have about 100,000 PMs saved this way.

another question: how do we report stuff? just send an email to a mod?

thx

ILLusion May 25th, 2008 14:44

At the bottom left of every post... underneath poster's name, under the avatar pic, underneath the join date, location, and post count... there should be a couple of icons. Click the one that looks like a red & white triangle with an exclamation mark in the middle. That icon is the report post function. Fill out the form and once submitted, that post will be reported.

I like to keep em for transaction histories, etc.

ColtFarmer May 25th, 2008 15:55

me too, which is why I put all my transaction PMs in a text document that I email to my hotmail.

been doing that for years.

I think he may have been referring to PMs (if he wasn't, then same Q for me, but regarding PMs). I don't have the 'report' triangle when I'm in PMs. I got spammed a few times, but just deleted it, but would have reported it otherwise.

Ah, I see. If that's the case, I suppose you could just forward the offending PM to your favorite mod and await a response.
