Yes it's functional, all his guns are.

on his website you can see a glock has been modded to fit inside. his list of parts/costs also says KSC glock 18.

Gorgeous build! The staining on the wood is just amazing.

thanks for that guys, yes the finger grips at the front are used to cock it and it fires full auto. Quick video of a test fire, I only just got it working!
