wasatch vest

anyone know if there is any troops using the wasatch style vest? ranger? seals or pmc?

I would think that mostly PMC's would use a Wasatch.. not too sure about rangers or seals though.

I saw one Marine Force Recon pic were a WASATCH was being used.

Looks like a PACA or something is being used underneath.

I use a wasatch. Be advised though, it's a little saggy.

Cut up one of those old solid foam military mattresses to make panels for it. It'll feel much better.

Oh I already have replica plates. At work I just wear it over my flak so it works well. Still a little saggy when you start removing mags.

Wasnt the whole 'satch line developed for ether the 5th or 7th Army SF? Most of the 07 + pics they are using Land CIRAS', but older ones do have them being used.

I tried the Weesatch and experienced the same problem, opting to switch to another platform as a result. It's definitely something to be mindful of when considering any 'satch, it's not something everyone can get used to.

As everyone has said, you'll definitely need plates. A purpose-made plate carrier underneath is probably best, failing that, foam plates in the 'satch as opposed to hard plate. In my experience, the hard plates inside the Weesatch pockets never sat quite right for me.

some custom cut foam plates in the wasatch make it look much better, fit more comfortably and if the plates are just right and the vest tight enough, remove all saggyness.
