VFC Scar L Mod
 

Hi,

I have a stock VFC Scar L. I would like to raise the fps to 400 fps (0.2 bb) with a new spring.

Should I change any internal to support the new spring?

The AEG is stated to shoot at 380 fps out of the box.

Mine was chronoed at something like 300fps with .25 this winter at the AC...

i dont think the extra 20fps is that important. member 400 is a limit not a goal.

I agree, but it would appear that the Scar L from VFC do not attain the 380 fps stated in the description. That is why I m checking (going from 300 to 400 basically).

all of the sites i've seen that sell them say that they shoot between 300-380 fps

If your only needing an extra 20, perhaps just a tightbore? Although I'm not sure if the stock cylinder would be able to stand.

on .12's Im sure it shoots 380.

A tightbore adds about ~7fps. at least, thats what mine did when I went from the stock 6 05 to a prometheus 6 03.
