DBoys Kalash AKS-74- A Video Review

Yep, another video review. I was having fun with some new software and decided to add a tiny bit of comedy to the whole video.

I hope you guys enjoy it, it comes in two parts on YouTube:

Part 1:
YouTube - D Boys Kalash AKS-74 Review Part 1

Part 2:
YouTube - D Boys Kalash AKS-74 Review Part 2

Things discussed:
-Dboys as a Company
-Their M4 AEG
-Changes/Improvements between their AEG's
-Metal Quality
-Gearbox Quality
-Funny Russian Stuff
-Wobbles and where they are
-Compatible mags
-etc

Please feel free to comment here or on YouTube if I missed something or have something to add, I am always open to comments and crits.

Cheers!

you should become the official ASC video review maker...guy. Ive seen em all and their all quite well done.

Relja July 2nd, 2008 18:28

I must concur. Quite well done indeed. Now im thinking of getting a dboys AKS74.

Skladfin July 2nd, 2008 18:33

haha I laughed at some parts.

Though I don't think the battery actually can go into the gas block, it narrows down from there. I've owned a Kalash AK74MN, so I've tried it and don't think you could.

nicely done

Thanks for the comments, I enjoy making these videos as you can tell by my YouTube account. As for the battery, I am 95% certain you could do it with little to no modification to the gas block area.

Just got my Kalash on Friday , most of what you say in your vids is true and i am very happy great product , the only down side was that when i opened the box the hop up was pushed way back , so I have to anyway replace it , the other thing was the barrel I polished it boy that was dirty. As for the battry I have a 9.6v 1500 battry which works great it does fit with a bit of a twist it does go in and yes it give you a a high rate of Fire , but the standard battry is not bad in piont of fact there is very little differences between the standard and the 9.6v .
I would like to know one thing you said something that Dboys/Kalash make or made parts for CA and other manufactures how did you fined that or where did you fined that info out ? I like the videos enjoyed it

This dood is great. Highly recommended. lol.

Thanks for the kind words. I am trying to think of what to do next. I know firing tests are high up there, but I want to do them in an area where I have realistic conditions and ranges, so not plinking cans in the basement, but shooting in an open field. I hope to do that soon in the coming weeks.

I'd love to review more AEG's but I can only comment on what I own and sadly that isn't much. I have my CA M4 still, but those are as common as dirt so thats what it wasn't done first. So how would you guys feel if I went more into the gear side of things, such as sights, pouches, batteries, chargers or whatever else I can get my hands on?

Who knows, maybe somebody will let me review kit one of these days. :D

Seems like a real solid gun. Good review too. I'd like to get my hands on a Dboys AKS-74u myself.
