SPR Front Kit

Does anyone know/have the step by step on how to install the SPR MK12 MOD 0 front set on m4/m16?
I just bought the set, and it came with no instructions.

Free floating delta ring on the receiver first, followed by barrel, shims (if the kit came with it) and then the barrel nut.

Once that's all secured (you should use an armourer's wrench to get it installed properly and aligned) (make sure the holes are aligned so that the 12:00 position hole aligns with the receiver's dummy gas tube entrance and the 3:00 and 9:00 positions are exactly on the X-axis before placing the alignment bolts in there), attach the dummy gas tube and the gas block.

Slide the RAS over the entire barrel assembly on to the free-floating delta ring and tighten the ring on to the RAS. As you get close to it being tight, make sure the alignment bolts are in the proper holes on the RAS. At this point, the rails should all be lined up properly as you tighten it all down.

Attach the flash hider once it's all completed.

Ah Brian, that's the MOD 1.

Mine is MOD 0. And my delta ring didn't even come like that with the holes like that to shove the dummy gas tube in from the front sight.

I'm not sure if mine was supposed to come with a delta ring, because the front handguard has a rail on the top that attaches to the rail onto the top reciever.

And then, nothing is holding the outer barrel into the top reciever.

It's basically the same thing, just attach that long top rail afterwards.

The thing is, how can I keep the outer barrel in the reciever without coming out?

From the front sight where the dummy gas tube is connected, where does the other end go? :s

Qlong July 17th, 2008 17:51

That's what the delta ring is for, to keep the outer barrel in place.
1. Slide delta ring on outer barrel
2. Slide outer barrel in upper receiver
3. Tighten delta ring

After this is done, it should look like Brian's pictures.

The other end of the gas tube goes through the one of the holes in the delta ring and into the receiver.

My front kit from Huang didn't come with the delta kit with those holes...
Would it help you guys to help me if I told you this is a Dboys Front Set?

Am I supposed to use the original M4 Delta Ring?

here are the pics.

Here's the end to the top. (Front sight to the reciever.)

Everything, forgot to take pic with the flash hider and rop rail. I forgot to include the top rail and flash hider in the pic, but that's not important.
