Classic Army compatibility

I wonder if I'll get screams of "RTFM NOOB!!!!1!1!"...

Excluding the mechbox, what exactly is TM compatible on a M15 carbine? I'd like to swap the upper for a MUR, but I'm concerned it won't fit.

Yes, I did look around and I only find references to compat problems but nothing specific.

Anyone have a link to a full compat list?

Everything is compatible with TM. The body itself is different in the way the 2 receivers mate with each other, but otherwise, everything else internally and externally is 100% compatible.

I was under the impression that CA's receiver, even though compatible was a little bigger than TM's. I have never mixed uppers and lowers before, but I know that I have put a d-boys RIS on a m15a4, the CA receiver rails sit a few mm higher than the d-boys front end RIS.

You can't mix CA uppers and lowers with other brands. TM uppers and / or lowers won't mate with a CA, at least not without modification. Otherwise though, everything else is compatible.

So it that upper is TM compatible, it won't work.

would the dboys ris you installed be one that huang sells? how is the fit on the CA, is it solid? might have to shell out for the CA ris, but if i can get the cheaper alternative, it would be great.
