SOCOM Gear - FULLY LICENSED WILSON COMBAT CQB ELITE
Found a new company called "SOCOM Gear" that's starting to make some custom guns. Their first major product is a "Fully Licensed" Wilson Combat CQB Elite.
I must say, I like it a lot. And I think 1911s are the fugliest pistols out there (HK & Glock, FTW!). So that's saying a lot. I know a lot of you folks like this sorta thing - so check out the eye-candy below: http://www.socomgear.com/english/ima...atCQBElite.jpg http://jagprecision.com/store/images...ge.750x499.JPG Wowsa - that's the sexiest 1911 single-stack I've ever seen. Add a threaded barrel and I'm set. Any of you have something similar? |
The real gun this one takes its namesake from is actually the CQB Tactical (the Elite doesn't have the rail). Looks pretty much like Springfield Armory's Operator 1911, or Kimber MARSOC.
Still prefer the MEU(SOC).45 myself. Work-in-progress on mine http://tacticalmoose.com/pic/meu1911_cr.jpg |
How about the GSR 1911 from SigArms?

Thanks Illusion.
Quite the interesting read. |
Drake, is that a WE? If so how does it perform? I've wanted to make a MEUSOC out of a WE but heard the mags suck.
|
That's not a Wilson. That's a SW1911.... Look at the rail, and serrations.

Wilson Combat licensed it. |

Fuck Canada. Seriously. |
Apparently the lead designer is from Madbull.... Interesting, eh?
I'll post a review if I have time in the coming weeks. ;) |
Its a rebranded WE....don't bother....or rather, get it if you like that sort of stuff....
|
btw, if someone were to ever make GSR kit for TM I'll buy another TM to make one....that's a good looking 1911 too...

Awesome looking GBB.
I like the grip on it. |

And then read the description very careful (i.e., lawyer mode) Quote:
Just like the WE, the SLIDE is TM compatible, but not the frame. |
