What happens if your hop up rubber is too stiff?

When I was upgrading my inner barrel, I accidentally used an M14's hop up rubber instead of the stock hop up rubber that came with my G36.

I'm worried that this rubber might be too stiff. What are the symptoms or negative things that a stiff rubber could cause?

stiffer rubber gives you better consistency and therefore accuracy.

there's really no down side to it, I always use the hardest rubber I could use.

btw, you also need less hop setting to get the right hop adjustment than you would with a softer rubber.

Agreed. The hopup rubber in my Type 56 is very hard. I just barely have to nudge on the hopup setting in order to get the effect, and its range, accuracy and consistency are absolutely amazing.

Okay, that makes sense then, because the usual nudge up on my hop up adjust will make the BB just arc straight up after it comes out of the gun...kind of like those anti-tank missiles.

Maybe if I turn my gun sideways when shooting, it'll make them bend around corners to hit people ^_^
