M14 project underway :D (56k beware)
Well I caught a lucky break here: I got an amazing deal on a AGM M14 package from AXe Hound, and between the spare parts I already had and the parts that came in the package the weapon already looks somewhat like what I want her to become.
A few upgrades here and there and this baby will be on the field as my new DMR: Presenting my M14 Marksman Rifle: (Once again with tactical Kitty~!) http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/l...8/P1000207.jpg http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/l...8/P1000206.jpg http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/l...8/P1000212.jpg http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/l...8/P1000213.jpg and right next to my other super-sniper rifle! ;D http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/l...8/P1000209.jpg more to come! (P.S. if anyone is wondering about the crack in the scope cover, It took a direct hit during Boder War 1. The scope works fine.) |
I'd put a real scope mount & change that scope.
other than that, looks good, props |
Cool cat :)
Nice looking gun too, must've taken awile to paint it like that? |
Wanna sell me that helmet =)
|
Yeah get rid of that ugly and noobish scope & scope ring and get a M1 with propper scope rings, mounting plate and it would look like M25 ish...
|
Looks like you lazer cat needs recharging.
|
the side-mounted tactical cat is nice, especially with that tiger camo paintjob.
I think the antenna is bent at the top... |
Kittycorner shot?

About the scope:
1) Thats not a cheap-ass crapsoft scope: That is a real-steel 3-9x magnification scope. Maybe not millitary-grade, but it is sure as hell not a piece of crap. 2) I dont have rear scope mount, and have had no luck finding one. For a mount I was able to do free, out of the box, it delivers perfect eye relife. 3) Pardon me if I'm unwilling to spend a large amount of money on a M1 scope when I have a perfectly capable, battle-proven scope already available? A rear scope mount, yes. A whole new (and posibly less functional) scope? no thanks. All that is assuming that a M1 scope is 1) not cheap, and; 2) more likley to be a replica and not real-steel. If it is either, I see no point in buying one. As for the paint job, thats a pre-painted extra stock that came with the gun. I just thought it looked kickass. :D (Oh and Sorry dude, the helmet is my signature headgear, and is not for sale;)) |
Well its your point of view about the scope and for sure I was talking about replica M1. Its just that your's seems to be a 25mm body and a 30 or maybe 35 mm objective which in either case reduce you field of view. I know I use to own a similiar scope I had on my m24 before I saw the difference.

I agree on the scope and mount. At least, got a proper mount.
A nice 3-9x40mm will cost you around 100$ and a good mount will be about 30$ tax in. It will make a great difference, both on look and usage. The ACU stock is very nice. The cat is also nice. And while I'm commenting, you need to vacuum your floor.... Hahaha |
