Becoming a retailer

I was wondering how do you become a retailer?

-were do I get a retail licence?
-whats the process?

anyone have any links or sites I can visit?

you have to contact one of the mods and pay a certain monthly fee to obtain and maintain retailer status. you also get your own retailer page.

I think he's asking more about becoming an importer / retailer, and not how to get retailer status here on ASC...

you have to have a 10 leaf clover with a horseshoe on it, lol

dude no offense, but none of the current retailers would tell you because the last thing they want is more competition.

I don't think it's fair to characterize all retailers like that.

However, if one is serious about going into airsoft (gun or parts) retailing, be prepared to do your own original research and establish your own suppliers, rather than what amounts to the so-called "spoonfeeding".

it's like asking, hey how can i join the super-exclusive club of people who share in the oligopoly that is canadian airsoft retailing

i dont mean to say that in a negative light, all i am referring to, is that from a strictly business perspective, i wouldn't want more competition to take money away from me. We all want a monopoly unless we are not part of it kinda thing.

lol all I was asking for is a link to a site that give u a normal retailing licence not only for airsoft, for clothes etc...

don worry, just got my answer.

dont post after this please.

ILLusion told me they define a retailer as anyone who sells new goods on a regular basis for profit. So if you just sell parts you'd be still considered a retailer if you do it all the time.

Kind of related but what about group orders? Are those considered "retailing" if it's a once and only once type thing? What about a once a year group order?
