FAMAS Receiver

Well basically I was just wondering if there is such a thing as a metal receiver that will fit a TM FAMAS F1. The ABS one that comes stock is kind of annoying and I find that's what makes the most creaking on mine. I want a metal one for durability purposes as well.

If anyone could point me in the right direction to finding one/let me know if they don't exist, that'd be great. Thanks.

Considering:
1) The real FA-MAS is made of polycarb, and
2) TM is the only company that makes a FA-MAS,

No, there is no metal reciever for the FA-MAS.

Wrong, JinPeng makes a FA-MAS and one of their versions has a full metal lower receiver. It defies reality but least it makes the gun more hefty.

JinPeng doesn't sell the receiver by itself, you'll have to find someone with a FA-MAS who is willing to part it out if you want one.

Well that's unfortunate...Oh well, thanks anyways guys.

Actually on the real one the receiver is made of metal with the furniture (grip and lower handguard) being made of fiberglass on the F1, and plastic on the G2.

Ironic, it's the opposite of the real thing :)

@OP: you can use electrical tape between overlapping plastic areas to eliminate the squeaking. It also makes the whole gun feel a lot more solid.

Yes, I knew I could put tape there but I was thinking to hit two birds with one stone and make it more durable. Also because metal parts just look and feel more awesome in most cases.

The G36 reciever (both upper and lower) is polycarb with steel rails molded into it for the moving parts.

It's still a real gun :D

The UMP series, MP7, P90, FN2000, Magpul Masada, Beretta CX4/RX4, etc also all have receivers made of mostly polymers.

I use hockey tape. I had electrical tape but it's too thin. Any fabric tape will do a better job in making it feel more solid, remove more squeaking, and creating a tighter fit.
