question about 1337 tactical web store

I have question about anybody who bougth item from 1337 tactical.

I live in US and would like purchase from them but they have same price USD and CAD for the same item.

Current excange rate is 1USD to 1.22 CAD. technically it should be around 20% cheper for USD.

Does anyone know why? or Anybody in US ordered with CAD price?

thanks

most likely because at the time of update, prices were on par; however he isnt a bank, so he can have is own exchange rate :)

You have it kind of wrong. The USD didn't go up, the CAD went down. So prices with current exchange rates would have the Canadian prices HIGHER, not the US prices lower. (the stuff isn't made in Canada, and was most likely purchased in USD)

So it doesn't change anything for you.

Doesn't paypal or CC take care of that?

I say he is not getting paid less by any means he will be paid exactly as CAD price from USD.

I will do leg work of converting USD to CAD for getting almost 20% price difference.

No, you don't pick the currency when you're shopping. Check your cart at the end, it lists your items with both USD and CAD.

I don't live in Canada so If you are thinking i'm the person living in canada and paying item in USD is wrong.

I live in US and want to pay item in CAD if I can get benefit of exchange rate.

I simulated using both canadian address and US address

Item I simlurated was Phantom BBP-MS Backpack (OD)

Canadian Address ship to BC vancouver
total including shipping and GST 97.03 CAD

US Address ship to WA Seattle
total including shipping 98.99 USD

using above exchege rate (I know this will change every day) 1USD to 1.22CAD

97.03CAD =79.53USD
98.99USD = 120.76CAD

Why dont you contact the store awner and ask him/her what the deal is with the prices.
Nobody here ownes that store (AFAIK) so we cannot help you with the priceing because we do not know how the owner decided upon their prices.

Are you paying by credit card, paypal, money order or a different way?

If you pay by credit card then the CC company does the exchange for you, since it would be withdrawn in Canadian funds.

If your paying by paypal or money order then pay in Canadian dollars for the amount shown for the total. Again the bank, postal outlet or paypal does the exchange, not the store.

If the store discounts it 20% then they somehow need to collect the funds in US dollars.

It's so much easier if you fill out the order, pay by credit card or paypal in Canadian funds. Then they do the exchange rate for you and save you the 20%.

Are they still selling older Phantom gear, or are they actually sending out the Pantac stuff?
