HFC

Does anyone know if HFC makes quality guns? What quality are they comparable to ?

Crunchmeister February 16th, 2009 20:26

All the HFC guns I've seen to date basically fell apart after very few shots. Their revolvers are utter garbage. Their M9s are trash too, especially the full auto ones that tend to blow apart in no time and are bad for their slides basically exploding into multiple pieces. I hear their M11 is more durable, and the broomhandle Mauser is ok too. Otherwise, I would suggest avoiding them. There's a reason they're that cheap.

What about HFC aeg's are they the same quality as the gbb's ?

Actually the model in question is a HFC M-16A3, bnib for about $150, is that a good deal?

buddy, are you serious? I had both the revolver and the M9 and they worked GREAT.

From all the reviews I've seen, HFC has decent designs but some durability and QC issues. At the same time, they're also the maker of certain guns that are hard/impossible to find/afford from other manufacturers.

You win some, you lose some.

Eeyore February 16th, 2009 21:02

So for $120 you're aying its a risk, but an exceptable one, oh ya it also come with an m9 in the box too,

The Saint February 16th, 2009 21:03

Er.... $120 with a M9 in the box? That sounds awfully like the crapsoft Canadian Tire or WalMart sells.

Those are not what I'd consider acceptable HFC guns. When I talk about HFC guns, I'm referring to their line of gas pistols.

Eeyore February 16th, 2009 21:11

Never mind after futher conversation with the owner I found out that they are springers. I knew it was too good to be true.

coach February 16th, 2009 21:27

my HFC G17 has been fairly good. No major issues to date.

cbcsteve February 16th, 2009 21:51

When I first started out in Airsoft I went with HFC GBB. Their AEGs if you can get it do not!! Even a Clear Kraken is 10x better.

You should check my reviews on the HFC Glock 17 its even on youtube, search it up!

If you don't know if you are a Pistolero yet, try cheapo HFC they work fine and they may break but you can replace parts easily.

Rankings of HFC Pistols

1. HFC Glock 17 (Solid Pistol, gamed one for almost half a year until switching to Tokyo Marui)
2. HFC M9 (Get Metal version not plastic)
3. HFC DarkHawk (Outerbarrel may eventually break)

jesster202 February 16th, 2009 21:51

isnt hfc springers the top of the line springs?

The Saint February 16th, 2009 21:53

Their deluxe metal springers, yes.

Clear stuff that they throw into a blister pack with another clear springer rifle, no.

Seen 3 revolvers so far. Not one of them saw 3 reloads before blowing something internally. Of the 3 M9s I saw in action, the first (full auto)I basically fell apart after a few mags, then the slide exploded. The second (semi only) has had the safeties fall off, and the mag catch break. The third is iffy. Shoots ok sometimes. Auto is erratic because the safeties / selector doesn't work. And the slide cracked in about 10 mags.

So yeah, I'm serious. Maybe other models are more solid, but these definitely aren't. Like I said, their M11s seem to get good feedback, and seems like their Glocks hold up well too.

Yup you are absolutely right the Revolvers are okay but if they break, they break... And the M9's its like a lottery just with slightly better odds, but you will still run into breakage.

For some reason HFC Glock 17 is the only model I think they got right. But even then their mags may leak. I get my mags from Pyramid Air and they know the mags either are perfect or leak uncontrollably no matter how good the lube so they reimburse you free of charge
