G&G Magazines

Hi, everyone from ASC

I need a little help here about laws and restriction.

I'm thinking to order G&G M4 Mags from Airsoft GI since I can't find any G&G mags in country.

Is there any problem to order ONLY Airsoft Magazine from states?

thanks everyone.

Mags are fine to bring over the border as long as there are no dummy rounds visible. (ie: G36, SIG, Star UMP, P90, etc...) Everything else is fair game.

Thank you for great information.=)

Also, if I'm not mistaken, Airsoft GI only ships to Canada via UPS so watch out for their insane brokerage fees.

You might want to try www.airsoftglobal.com as they do have quite a few G&G mags there.

Edit: uh I don't think they have a good selection of G&G M4 mags on airsoftglobal, now that I checked

What is the brokerage fees?

Brokerage fee is the fee UPS brokers charge you to "clear" the item through the CBSA.
You can read more about it here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_..._for_Canadians

And here is the UPS Rates for Customs Clearance into Canada, though I'm not sure how accurate those numbers are since I've seen they charging more than the listed charges.

That's perfect business for UPS LOL

Now, I have to recosider where I should order my mags from. It is very difficult to find G&G mid-cap mags.

I know that VelocityArms run by Karnage on ASC has some DBoys LoCaps that CAN work with a G&G M4. Infact, I got a G&G GR16 V4 from him and was tempted to get 2 LoCaps but ended up with 2 HiCaps + Standard HiCap instead.

The reason I'm looking for G&G mags because it is a real size, not airsoft size. (if you know what i'm taking about)

Ryukishen February 21st, 2009 06:03

Ahh. That makes a bit more sense then. I'm relatively new and have a relatively small build so real sized mags look a bit awkward with me.

Good luck though, and yes.. Stay away from UPS... Stay FAR away.. I've gotten a $25 modem from US shipped via UPS and I was looking at about $20 in Customs Fees because UPS decided to be dicks about it.

thank you for your advice. =)

Hey buddy,

I Got those mags you are talking about from AirsoftGI.

Ask them if they can ship your order using USPS. Can't rememeber if they said "yes" but there's nothing to loose.

For the mags ; Fits perfectly in my G&G GR-16 and my Classic Army M15. Feels very solid. Color is very cool. And I think they are really close de RS mag dimension. And those mags are king because of the long follower that really pushes ALL the BBs in. So there's really no leftover when you remove the mag. They also feed very well. ;)

Only downside ; when you carrying all of then in your vest, it's getting really heavy. Also, the spring that pushes the BBs inside the mag is a bit too strong. Might not be the case for you but when I fully load my mags and load it in my AEG my first 10 shot a really shit. It means that there's so much pressure made by the spring in the hop-up chamber that all my BBs are kind of stuck in my hop-hup chamber. Solution ; do not fully load your mags and everything will be alright. Might need to find an other solution right now I'm okay with it. Also, I alreay had a problem with the base-plate screw holding the frame and the mechanism ; the plastic where the screw goes broke so the mag wasn't holding together. But some glue and you're set.

I hope it's okay ;)

Outside CA Orders

I've found a new site (new for me) that has to have one of the biggest stocks I've seen on line so far. Keep in mind I'm talking about stock here, not just a bunch of pictures with "out of stock" written under everything. It's in CA, USA and don't mind shipping to Canada. You can check them out at

I've made my first order and the shipping might be a bit high but they have what I want.

They actually has pretty good variety of manufactures. =) What kind of shipping method are tehy using?

I had a bit of trouble with my order because I got ahead of myself when I found what I was looking for. I just got a 6 inch Wingun Python and wanted extra shells. After searching for two days I found them in stock at Evike but failed to notice the speed loaders to go with the new shells. So I went back in to order that and had to phone customer service to get the two orders combined. When it was all done they asked for 55 for shiping via USPS. Now that seems kind of high to me but when you've got what I want then it's just like the retailers here, they name the price and you're stuck with it. I'm just thrilled to find what I want. Take a look at their gear on there and the prices make the shipping look better and better all the time.
