WE1911 vs KJW1911
is the we 1911 classic better than the kjw?
No, the KJW is better. It is an accurate clone of the TM1911, thus more aftermarket parts are available for it.

If you want to get into it, yes, but it's very difficult to find the first KJW1911. They cloned that off the WA. Not many were made due to significant issues and most were pulled.

should I just get a kwa or wa then?
What are the qualities you are looking for in a 1911?
If full metal isn't an issue then WA or TM is the way to go. If full metal is something you have to have and don't want to spend a fortune for an upgraded gun then KJW is your best bet.

So the current version of KJW 1911s are now 100% TM compatible? I was under the impression that they weren't. If so, that could be something I'd be looking into in the near future...
Pretty close to 100%. I think the rear sight is cast into the slide or something. There might be a few minor differences, nothing as dramatic as the WE.
