Real Sword Type 56. Hands down it's the best airsoft AK on the market. Real steel externals, and all reinforced internals right out of the box. Performs like a dream and can take abuse like the real thing. Doesn't get any better than that.

If you need more info on it, search this forum. There's a lot of info on it.

Best? Im not sure. Best for the price? Hmm..

I'd have to say an Aftermath Kraken, if you dont have alot of money to spend. Sirmailorder has them for $130 Canadian, I think. They have alot of upgrade potential and are pretty durable. (ABS Plastic + Metal Body, Full Metal CM02 Gearbox, Metal Barrell, 14mm threading under the orange tip.)

Best for the price is the Real Sword, hands down. A kraken is a budget AEG that just happens to be better than anything else in its price range. It's still a VERY far cry from a RS.

Thats true. Thats what I was trying to get at.
If budget: Kraken
If Monies: RS ftw.

For a sub-$200, the Kraken rules the roost. You won't get a better gun for that money. However, there's also a high lemon rate. Those problems can easily be fixed and with a bit of preventative maintenance (clean, re-shim and grease), turning it into a reliable gun. Unfortunately, that preventative maintenance is not really something most noobs are able to perform. You can get a good one that out of the box will last for thousands of rounds. You also get many that won't live past 1 full mag's worth of BBs before imploding. For that reason, I consider it more an excellent upgrade platform than a starter gun.

But in the context of the OP's question "who makes the best airsoft Ak's you can get in Canada" without considering price, Real Sword is the king of AK variants (that should satisfy both Amos and Ancorp). I'd even argue it's possibly the best AEG available anywhere, regardless of model or brand.

What about G&G? I heard they make a very nice full metal and wood ak line.

So do CYMA and DBoys, and they're quite affordable too. ICS, CA, and VFC also make great AKs, but they cost more. There's also the all plastic models from TM, JG, CYMA, DBoys and others.

Bottom line is that there are an assload of AK models out there by various manufacturers. One could write a novel-length post on the different AKs offered by the different manufacturers, their strengths, weaknesses, and different price points.

But for the basic question the OP asked, the RS is the best.

Crunch doesn't like rear-entry tactics, BW III is 18+ also.
