TM AEPs in Canada?

Hello everybody! I've been wanting to get an AirSoft gun for quite some time now and have been looking at the Tokyo Marui AEPs, specifically the UPS. However, I can't find a Canadian retailer that carries these. What is the reasoning behind this? Would it be worth it to try and import it, and what are the chances of customs seizing it? Many thanks! Your help is greatly appreciated :D

I can vouch for TM AEPs =p. I've got a M93R, best game pistol I've ever held, unless your going for that realism thing, which then that automag .44 GBB wins =p.
Buy it used from your local airsoft forum or look for 1 on here after AV, I doubt there is a dealer that specifically carry them, and customs seizure is a pretty good possibility... Don't bother trying(as stated in countless other posts), I got mine in pretty much new condition for $150 CDN with a extended mag and pistol holster, so just keep looking around.

1. You have to be age verified since there's no public retailer in Canada selling all black guns
2. Read the FAQs for information on importing.
3. No it would not be worth it to try
4. Chances are very close to 100%

TM AEPs are nothing compared to a good TM or KSC GBB... lol

I find AEPs super lacking... (I've handled 6 different TM AEP's in total and the lack of blowback is just upsetting to me)

How are people able to sell them in the Classifieds if you can't import them in the first place? Thx!

Amos March 4th, 2009 02:13

They can be imported legally... it's just VERY, VERY, VERY, VERY difficult.

You would think *Magic* would make this less of a hassle ;) Since I can't view the Classifieds (yet), are there many TM AEPs available for sale?

yuhaoyang March 4th, 2009 02:23

Yeah GBB is pretty epic, but AEPs excel in games. Especially since those stock hop-up units work better than some aftermarket ones. Also it's a piddley 200 fps, making it quite safe =p

200fps for a game isn't "safe", it's "ineffective".

lol excel? I think you mean, "barely get by without getting owned by real guns"

Alright sounds good. Last question, are the prices similar to international retailers or much higher?

Now knowing that it requires a certain *Magic to get these guns into the country, and that the supply is limited etc, do you think that the prices would be similar?

haha now that I've read my own post it sounds that way, but I was speaking on a very strictly CQB basis, besides, with the hop-up adjusted correctly, I'm sure even you would be supeised at the distance that thing shoots. Sorry, but I will defend TM AEPs to the death XD. Or until I sell mine and buy a 5.1 lol. Also they are rediculously quiet.

Depends on how many can be brought into the country via Magic, but from the sounds of it it's not many D:
