Can the Ca m15a4 c.q.b use a Systema revolution

I am looking at possibly getting the CA M15A4 C.Q.B as my first airsoft gun. However before I buy one I am wondering if it can take the Systema revolution. I wont be making this upgrade any time soon but it does make the difference between me buying a TM vs a CA.

Thanks ahead of time for your information. Also if you know of any problems the has CA has that i should know of please let me know.

Yes, and do not buy untill spare parts are available for rev mechbox.

I would think any Airsoft M4 that is TM compatible with a Version 2 Gearbox in it, should be able to put in the Systema Revolution gearbox.

Also if your thinking of putting in a Systema Revolution and a Classic Army, Have you thought about getting a Systema PTW Gen 3, just an idea, the cost of PTW isnt that much more than your CA and Systema Revolution gearbox combined, plus the resell value of a PTW, wont let you loose as much money as you would upgrading a CA, in my opinion.

I thought about getting a ptw and would rather have one but i was qouted a cost of $2500 CAN which i find is alot. However how much is a revolution in canadian cause the gun is $625 CAN. I mean if it is not much diffrence i should get a ptw.

A Revolution is probably around $600 shipped to your door. You can import it yourself to save the middleman fee, but the Canadian dollar is pretty weak right now.

ok i have to ask this because i'm a noob but why spend that much cash on a gear box dose it improve the gun that much. hell i can buy a nw gun almost 2 guns for that price. is having an airsoft gun that looks so real that important just asking. and what would a 4 or 600 dollar gear box do for a gun. just asking so i know if i want to do it in the future

Yea so i still would be way under buying a systema. Plus i am a noob so i think the CA is a better fit for now.

Being new is why a current gen Systema would be good. Never breaks.

Why is the PTW always grossly over-quoted? When Kelly was doing orders it was insanely cheap, it'd be a bit more now due to dollar, but $2500 HEREis one of his old sales thread.

Some people hold certain details in a higher aspect than others. Its like wine.
There are some that enjoy the cheaper wines, some that are content with mid level and others who enjoy the sweet tastes of flavours that come with large price tags. Everyone has different tastes.

The systema revolution is a revamp on the standard TM created V2. It boasts a sturdier shell and a redone internal set up that is supposed be more realiable, and as always with systema one can expect nothing but execellent quality internals and more than exceptional quality control. For the most part.

mightymouse2 March 6th, 2009 22:24

well now i like the way you put that thanx tokyoseven it was a nice way of explaining it. now down the road when i want to upgrad i know were to start and what to look at getting.

TokyoSeven March 6th, 2009 22:34

Just keep in mind that the systema revolution is not the be all end all of mechboxes like some may think. There are quite a few affordable alternatives out there that perform very well without the price tag.

What would be some other alternatives to the revolution? I am new and i was having a hard time spending $2500-$3742 on a ptw so i went with a M15a4 cqb. I figure a ptw is a bit to much to start with considering i have yet to even play a game. I also think it would be more fun building my gun close or up to the ptw lvl or at it. So i am always up for other ideas that may work better and not as costly.

Also thanks for your reply TokyoSeven.

I did my C8 with all modify parts and an s110 spring and it's performing beautifully. Probably add a Trigger Master 3 mosfet to add the active breaking and motor soft start features when I get some more cash after blowing most of it on the initial upgrade parts.

Amos March 7th, 2009 11:37

The right mix of parts will make your gun sing as well as any PTW.

I'd suggest a Modify full tune kit (appropriate for your gun), Prometheus NEO Strike hopup chamber, A firefly (soft or hard depending on your FPS) rubber, and a Prometheus 6.03 MC51 (fits CQB-R's perfectly) tightbore barrel.

I don't know anything about mosfets or fancy stuff like that... but I'm pretty sure one could help :)
