Echo 1 G36C

I just want to know if buying an Echo 1 G36C off of pyramyd air, is legal in Canada?

It is not, you cannot import airsoft guns from outside of Canada.

kalnaren March 12th, 2009 00:17

NO

You cannot impotr airsoft guns into Canada. If you're 18+, read up on the age verifacation process How to Get Verified! Comment se faire vérifié! - Airsoft Canada for access to the ASC classifieds.

rabbit1397 March 12th, 2009 00:19

Dang, would anything off of pyramyd air be legal?

If it's a gun, no.

The Canadian Border Security Agency classifies airsoft guns as "replica firearms" which are prohibited from import.

rabbit1397 March 12th, 2009 00:22

I thought that if they had a license they could import it or something? You can select canada as a shipping place

Erennert March 12th, 2009 00:23

Although that is a good choice as a starter gun, as stated before by kalnaren, your best bet is to get age verified and look through the classifieds here at ASC.

EDIT: You can ship it to Canada, although it will never reach your doorstep

rabbit1397 March 12th, 2009 00:27

Well I would get age verified, except for the tiny little problem that I'm not over 18. A couple of my friends play off and on and I wanted to join them. I saw this gun and since I am a huge fan of G36s, I instantly wanted it. Too bad I can't get it now :(

rabbit1397 March 12th, 2009 01:01

Is it against the rules to talk to people under 18 here? If so, I'm sorry. Would anyone know if you can get this gun anywhere in Canada?

Darklen March 12th, 2009 01:06

Highly unlikely unless you are age verified.

If you care to paruse our FAQ section, you might understand why you keep getting the same answer, instead of the one you want.

As far as foreign companies shipping to Canada, unless it's illegal for them to export the item from their country, they can ship anywhere they want. The issue is, is the item you want legal to import into the country. Once the shipper has your cash and if the item gets seized by CBSA (Customs) you can pretty much kiss your cash goodbye. There is no permit from outside Canada that customs would recognize that would allow a company like Pyramid to import, all permits must be held by Canadian importing companies.

The license is a Firearms Business License with a special provision for importing movie props. This is a very expensive and very difficult license to get and there are very few in Canada willing to use it to import airsoft guns.

As for shipping, of course you can select Canada as a shipping place. Once the company ships the gun, they don't give a shit. They have your money, why should they care if it gets siezed at the border? They don't lose anything.

The only way to get non-clear, high-end airsoft guns here in Canada is to wait until you are 18, meet with a rep, and get AV'd. Until then stick around and learn what you can, and save up. Airsoft IS NOT cheap (for an idea of the prices of guns in canada, take what it would cost in the USA and multiply it by about 2.5).

Against the rules to talk? Not at all. By all means, feel free to stick around and ask questions and learn what you can.

However, the Airsoft Canada community does not support the aquisition of airsoft guns by those under the age of 18. I'm not saying you can't get them, but you're not going to find support for it on this forum.

rabbit1397 March 12th, 2009 01:12

Thanks for all those links. I did look at the FAQs a bit but I didn't find any answers. I'll check those out. Once again, thanks for everyones help.

rabbit1397 March 12th, 2009 01:22

Well I guess I'll be stuck with those crappy clear canadian tire guns for the next 4 years.

Save up your money so that when you turn 18 you can dump a good chunk of change on a really nice gun like a Classic Army or G&P or something.
