hicapa leaky mag

Hey,

i just got a new hicapa 4.3 stainless. I was wondering if its normal for gas to leak when trying to fill the mag. There is nothing wrong with it shooting and it does shoot hard at 310fps stock. how many seconds should you hold the propane tank to get a mag full.

all TM mags are like that. It's not a silent fill

should i be concerned? and how many seconds should i hold the propane to get max filled. i know for glocks its 5-6 seconds.

With a completely empty mag...invert it a fill until it "spurts" liquid as you fill it.

Should be about an 8-9 count...it's about a 10 count for a 5.1 mag, which has just a bit more capacity than a 4.3.

I don't count. gas escaping while filling is normal. I stop the moment the escaping gas starts to turn to liquid around the valve because significantly more is venting. You'll notice it change.

never store mags that are completely empty. give it a little fill, like a second's worth, to maintain pressure on the seals.

You can find O rings from the ends of those refillable lighters and stick them in the fill valve for a silent fill, you can slightly hear the gas traveling through the adapter and into the mag, you stop when the you stop hearing that.

Can you use O-rings from "Bic" lighters? I have a kjw glock 23 mag that leaks.
