Importing flash hiders?

Are real M16 flash hiders legal to import to Canada? I'm about to order one and I thought I'd better ask, just to be on the safe side.

thanks.

AFAIK there is no law against importing flash hiders, but i would suggest waiting for someone else to confirm this.

I know what the FAQ says when it comes to parts for replicas.

I just thought I'd ask because I'm trying to order a real M16 flash suppresor, i.e. the real deal used on real firearms (I want one for my G&P M16). And I don't know squat about importing actual gun parts, not parts for replicas.

I don't want any problems with Customs if they see a "real deal" suppresor so that's why I'm asking, just to be on the safe side.

are you sure that will fit on airsoft? I remember hearing that some parts of airsoft are not the same size as the real steel parts.

The only parts from real M16's that fit (at least on G&P rifles) are the flash suppressor and the original handguard set. The buttstock and the pistol grip won't work on a replica because the original is narrower than AEG's and so are those two parts.

There are many "real rifle" thread sizes and an M16's (1/2x28 TPI) will NOT fit airsoft.

G&P uses 14mm+. Don't know where you got your info.

Importing a real flash hider isn't a problem, but getting it shipped from the US may be if it's subject to ITAR export controls or its sale otherwise controlled.
