Camo questions.

Just wondering what type of camouflage is best for BC forests? I have Woodland, but i've heard that MC and CADPAT are good as well...which one do you use?

Thanks in advance

I haven't used MC yet so I can't comment on that but I have used CADPAT with excellent results especially in the Langley area.

Cool thanks, which do you think works better? Woodland, or CADPAT?

Ktown Militia April 4th, 2009 21:11

a good portion of the players in my area are Multicam. I also recommend flecktarn and cadpat.

if its a deciduous forest, then MC hands down (make sure its REAL MC). arid or desert cadpat/flektarn would work well. if its a pine forest, then regular cadpat or flecktarn would be the best bet.

Personally I prefer Cadpat. I find it does a better job concealing you than standard woodland. Plus honestly, who doesn't want to look like a wiener in a jar full of relish?

Thanks, I definitely thought Woodland would be the best, as it looks the most alike with the same colors and all. Maybe in the future I'll try something new then, but I'll stick with my Woodland for now. Thanks everyone

Woodland still does a great job. I still use it from time to time. It's just the whole conventional vs. digital camo and the effects on the human brain.

from my personal experiences, multicam is tyhe best all round. acu is very good as well, cadpat works great but only in conniferous forest ive found. flecktarn also works great but you need trees with round leaves to really optimise. but i would strongly reccommend multicam. woodland i dont reccommend at all, od would be better imo.

Rock 'N' Roll Outlaw April 4th, 2009 22:15

Anyone who tells you to use ISeeYou(stolen rightfully from Brian) should be slapped with a big stinkin' fish. Thats one of the worst camo patterns yet. Its highly visible in almost every kind of terrain out here as its WAY too light. Lighter camo is better suited for arid type settings, and even then its a little too green and standoutish. So I really dont know why the ISeeYou is used by the US Forces. Why not just borrow use of Marpat which is a million times more effective (both the woodland and desert) from the Marines.

Why would Woodland be worse than OD....

Woodland DPM (not US woodland) works great, especially in the early fall.

Erennert April 5th, 2009 14:15

Ah I see, well I have US Woodland. As long as it works plus I like the look. Maybe in the future I'll switch to CADPAT.

is OD any good? I kno its not as good as real camo, but i found a nice vest that is OD and if it works, i might HAVE to get it :)

An OD vest is good because you can where it with most types of camo. I try to make as much of my MOLLE gear OD as possible.
