Barrel attachments
 

I was researching barrel attachments and i just need some clarifications. CW and CCW are straight forward enough, i think :rolleyes:. My understanding is that 14mm is the standard diameter of the threaded part of the the attachment and the negative (-) attachments have the threads recessed into the point of attachment (in essence, a "female" attachment) and positive (+) attachments have the threads protuding out of the point of attachment (in essence, a "male" attachment).
Please correct me if i'm wrong.

Well, part of it is right. CCW is negative threading, and CW is positive threading.

that's what i initially thought but i got convinced otherwise when i saw different products on retail sites. :roll: that makes more sense now, thanks for that. :)

edit: i know why i got confused...now i know: the barrel is ALWAYS the "male" attachment and the actual barrel attachment is ALWAYS the "female" attachment
