Canada Post update

Hey Guys

Do Canada post update their tracking daily? It's been three days and the tracking said "international item on route to Canada". Since I ordered from ehobby, should I check the Hong Kong Post mail tracking instead of relying on the Canada Post one?

Thanks

I just ordered a King Arms Crane stock, which is nothing bad.

It takes them forever to update...

kalnaren April 9th, 2009 17:46

CP tracking is updated based on their best "guess" of where the package is. I've had it updated to "out for delivery" several days after I've actually got the package.

wow that's strange!! so any ideas on what I should do? check HK Post tracking?

Scopedog April 9th, 2009 17:53

I just received a package from Jugglez the other day and the tracking listed it like this...

7:13am - Item out for delivery
7:14am - Item successfully delivered

Yeah, I'm nowhere near that close to the distribution center, lol. The CP online tracking system is, like Kalnaren said, a best guess.

I thought they would scan the item, and when the item is scanned, it is automatically put into the "CP server" telling ppl where the item is.

I wish. CP doesn't even handle parcel delivery anymore. They contract it out to the lowest bidding drunkard.

landwarrior April 9th, 2009 18:17

GREEEEAATTT...that's ghetto!! the package could be sitting at customs and as far as I know, it's en route to Canada. Last time I ordered from ehobby, CP was very updated.

IceTray April 9th, 2009 18:19

I just did an order with ehobby a few days ago. It took 7 days to get here, I've never really had it take longer than that, I never bother tracking their orders.

I've now had to resort to checking the tracking every 5 minutes, when it says out for delivery, I go and sit on the sidewalk... cause if I don't they leave it ON THE FUCKING PATIO! Yes mine faces to the sidewalk

Ya same thing for me last time. At least last time their tracking was updated. This time...not so much. God I just hope CP leaves a note at my door if there's no one home. If not, it'll be sent back to ehobby!!!

No, that would make too much sense.

Thenooblord April 9th, 2009 18:50

One time i was shipping to somebody, it said item out for delivery, and item successfully delivered... then the next day it said item out for delivery again.. lol wtf?

CP will leave a failed delivery notice if nobody is available to sign for the package. It will state which postal outlet you can pick it up from. A maximum of three such notices will be left with the last one clearly stating "final notice". Your final notice slip won't arrive until the package has been sitting at your local postal outlet for a couple of weeks.

Having said that, there is the chance that the delivery person will leave it outside your residence. Technically, they are not supposed to do this if it requires a signature. Unfortunately, there are people here that can attest to this being done with alarming regularity in certain areas.

I heard CP people sometimes dont leave notices, just your package. Well, that's IF I know my package has left customs. It still says "Item on route to Canada"
