Propane vs Green Gas Tanaka GBB

Anyone had any experience with using propane over greengas with Tanaka GBB models. I recently purchased a Tanaka P8 (USP) and noticed it difficult to fill using propane....a nd experienced erratic slide action and inconsistent FPS when firing. Somnetime with barely move an no BB's would fire.

Unfortunately my Japanes isn't so good so the manual is useless.

This is not my first GBB...so I know the usual drill for filling and Silicone etc....
Any suggestion on mods....maintenance etc would be appreciated.

IIRC, Tanaka pistols do not like propane. They're a duster gun.

I have one, bought brand new and a piece of junk fresh out of the box.

The SA sear won't engage when firing, just when you cycle it by hand and force the slide down.

The BBs will all prematurely eject from the magzine if you bump it.

It won't go through a full mag on green or duster.

Sometimes the sear not engaging an the weak cycle conspire to turn it full auto till cooldown kicks in.

I think a metal slide would solve just about all of these but there isn't one in production that'll fit.

It sounds like yours is a notch above mine at least.

Greengas IS propane.

for tanaka GBB series, using propane will damage your gun!
btw, tanaka performs the poorest shooting of all GBBs,and fucking costs the most money of all GBBs,
hope this shit company will bankrupt itself as early as possible!

I think they WERE put out of business because of the legal troubles they got in with their Cassiopeia revolvers, that were deemed to be able to shoot real rounds.

And with them went the only ones to make the western style revolvers. Guess i should not have put off getting one for all those years.
