Just picked up a gun.

Hey i just picked up a tactical force tf16 and was wondering if it is customizable or compatible with most other m4 pieces.
ie new stock, internals, front of the gun (thing that goes over the barrel on the m4 no idea of the technical name.)

Generally, the TF16 is an incredebly low quality gun not worth the money.

I agree, the only TF gun ive had any luck with is the TF11, it works well, its just not very good, lol
Id say sell the TF 16 and get something like a JG or G&G, G&G GR 16 goes for about 300 bucks

Just the part that you need in order to make it a gameable gun will cost more than what the gun cost you to start with...

Conker May 16th, 2009 18:03

If you just picked-it up, I'd suggest you to get it back to the store and wait for a refund. Then, accumulate some money.

In the meanwhile, if you're 18+, get age verified.

yeah i realize it's not the best gun. But i'm looking to get new internals and externals but i need to know if they will be compatible or not.

Ashton May 17th, 2009 17:40

If you're replacing both internals and externals, why not just purchase a better gun from the start?

Conker May 17th, 2009 17:41

^^ What he said ^^

Carmelo.m May 17th, 2009 17:42

not age verified intill december and i already bought this one off my buddy for 100

Some people wait four years to play this sport. Eight months isn't that long. Save up some money over that time period and buy something good off the classifieds when it's time. You can even use the fact it's Christmas to get contributions from relatives. ;)

Nothing short of a complete rebuild will bring this up to gaming standards, and that will cost a whole lot more than a new stock gun from a decent company.

Use it for what it is, a cheap POS or training for mechbox repairs.

Carmelo.m May 17th, 2009 18:15

Can I please get an answer?
I know i can wait eight months, i just want to know if it's compatible so i can learn to upgrade my gun & gear box, jesus.

Styrak May 17th, 2009 18:39

You already got many answers. I suggest you take the advice of the knowledgeable people on this board.

lemegacool May 17th, 2009 18:56

gearbox is a standard v2 so take it apart looks how it's made but dont buy aftermarket parts for it !!!! and for the externals i heard that they are not exaclty to marui scale so dont bother on externals!

yuhaoyang May 17th, 2009 19:45

It's SUPPOSE to be compatible, but there are pretty good chances that a lot of the parts are poorly made and will not be. It will be cheaper to replace the entire mechbox, and the motor, probably with a JG set off of velocityarms lol. Even then, I would assume that the low-grade plastic will crack or break quite easily, and you may have to replace those as well, then you end up with one of those semi-rare cases where the only stock part on your gun is the screws in the pistol grip
