EOTech 552 with magnifier - riser needed?
 

I have several EOTech-style sights at the moment - Huang 552, Hurricane 552, Bushnell HOLOsight (EOTech 502 - real), and EOTech 552 (real) - and love them to pieces. Ideally, they're good for short to mid-range engagements, but I'd love to get a magnifier (one of the flip ones) to use for outdoors as long range is more of my style of play.

I'd like to know how well these magnifiers (specifically the Huang models) line up with a 552 and if a riser of some kind is required to properly mount them. If anyone has experience with them and can shed some light, I'd greatly appreciate it.

John has a huang magnifier. We were actually going to try it on your 416 to see how well it lines up with the eotech on saturday. I'm thinking of getting an eotehc magnifier combo for my 416.

Oh HELL YEAH! Make sure he brings it out. I most definitely want to try it out before I pop the cash on one. I don't mind needing a riser or mount or something, but would like to know if I do so I can order both at once.

You'll love the huang magnifier, the cantilever mount and everything is solid as hell and aside from it locking in slightly off center (little to the right) it's great.

For your reference, clones 551, 552 should have the same height.

No riser needed for 552 + 3x EOTech Magnifyer.

I've got the Ebaybanned 552 with a Huang Eotech 4x magnifier with FTS (the square one) and I do not need a riser. They don't align perfectly when looking at them together from the side (552 slightly lower) but I cannot notice it when viewing through the magnifier/552 together.
