G19 with G17 slide
 

Greets,

I have a KSC G19. There is a nice G17 slide I want. I know I'd need a longer recoil rod.

Fit/no fit?

The frames are different lengths.

I know, it would look... weird... but would it work?

The slide would hang right over the frame at both the muzzle AND the back. I don't even know where to start with the potential for dirt penetration past the dust cover and also in to the hammer assembly.

(fyi: I have a 17 slide on a 19 frame in front of me right now)

It wouldn't matter if it fit and cycled fine (it seems to, through hand racking), it just looks UGLAY and so wrong.

Damn, you always have the part combos for my questions. Alright, looks like I wont be building a race Glock after all... One of your fellow CAPS shooters had one that was just sweet.

if you want a good Glock for CAPS, start with a Marui Glock 17.

I can get you custom made slides and other race gun craziness for it.

Im going to have to agree with brian here, my marui glock 17 is a bloody nail gun with minimal upgrades.

Loads of custom parts available. (just about as many as the tm 4.3)

it lacks aftermarket sears... i cant found ANY!!! i pmed tirador and waiting for a reply, if i can get my hand on a couple new sears i'll build myself a semi race glock 17!
