Hi guys,
Iv been having problems with my KJW high cappa, first it was co2(gun replaced) next its mags cant use the bb's i used(wont say brand, bastards work) now its does something weird which makes me too irritated to even ask the gun doctor...(something with the slide getting stuck after some recoil).

Anyways! I think i can use it as a side arm but im now looking for a GBB that is reliable enough to use as a primary in CQB or even cqc competitions(not planning to join just want durability that is reliable).

So! just looking for suggestions on what guns and brands you guys recommend w/ price range. For started im looking at what i can do with 250-350 bucks. I want a gun whos accessories are easy/cheap to find and buy, i.e. mags, replacement parts. I was thinking maybe a HK USP/MK23 model. Metal upper(barrel and all) if not full, and can handle propane even after thousands of shots. Im flexible, just throwing out ideas.

lets start with something simple as, What you guys are using that you think you can go to war with. I could also use something like cheapest mid grade to Good high grade by brand, quality, personal history.

P.S. pls. dont sell me your guns, looking for general ideas i can research in. And yes! im considering you cbcsteve.(i hope your offer will still stand a month from now...)

If you want a GBB for a primary then there's no question: TM Hicapa. KJW guns are good guns but they're sidearms not primaries.

TM hicapas, They can be bought for 300 bucks, so there really is no contest

wow that was fast... i wrote like 500 words lol. So tm hi capa, is there full metal ones you guys can recommend? what TM's do you guys carry? Oh! i got 3 hi-capa KJW mags, i know that you (Thenooblord) use tm mags on you KJW, does that mean it will work vice versa? I Know TM has better quality mags, but what i have are almost brand new! I dont wanna waste that, They work ok just wanna take advantage of that.

o yeah! I hear TM is best used with computer air cleaners(forgot the real name) I want to stick to the advantages of propane, What hi-capa can handle that?

TM's are generally plastic externals. However, Hicapas have a metal midframe and have about a billion upgrade/customization options.

I carry a TM Hicapa 5.1 with a metal slide and threaded outer barrel (aftermarket upgrades), tightbore inner barrel, Tanio Koba tactical grip, 150% recoil spring, and an accessory rail that comes with the TM Hicapa 5.1

I like the TM P226 personally. I've got both stock plastic and upgraded full metal. The metal is nice, but limits the amount of shots you will get out of a mag due to gas consumption. At least mine does, running stock valves. TM plastic guns are as reliable as anything. My buddy runs a KSC Glock 19, several years of reliability.

Stick with TM or KSC. Period.

TM guns, pistols and rifles, are generally all plastic. To get one full metal would cost you a small fortune, you're talking $600-800 or more. Metal slides are relatively cheap, it's the metal lower frames that are the money hogs since they're restricted. If you want it as a primary you'd be advised to leave it plastic since you'll get better performance out of it.

Ask Ancorp how long he has been running his beat up TM 4.3 it looks like it has been passed by two owners and seems like its about 2 years old but it still kicks like a mule.

If you played at Defcon, damn Ancorp pegged me in the eye mask all the way on the other end of its CQB size field with 0.30g on Propane gas.

Nope. Don't need it. This was told to me by a GBB gundoc. Propane is fine as long as you don't dryfire all the time and wear it out (dryfiring apparently puts more stress on the gun than firing a BB).

I've been thinking about going Metal upper but for now my GBB has a plastic slide. Only damage so far is, a scratch on the slide (from transportation I'm guessing). Really if you treat it properly it should last you a long time.

Additionally, its kind of hard to get the "proper" Duster gas nowadays anyways. Tetraflourothane is what you want not the Diflourethane. Also I've heard that duster requires more silicone oil or something due to it drying out the seals faster not sure if this is true or a rumor but just keep it in mind. If you want/need duster I actually believe I found an old can of the stuff (Tetraflourothane) in my basement. Depending on postal regulations I may be able to sell it to you if you *want* it.

BTW, i keep hearing threaded outer barrel, wut does that mean? can u guys give me a link on how that looks and wuts its advantage?
And no thanks on the duster.

Threaded outerbarrel just means you can screw on a silencer on it or somtimes you can put on a compensator depending on the model of the outer barrel and compensator

No real benefits aside from hiding a longer inner barrel, even the silencer doesn't seem to silence much either

It just means the end is threaded to attach accessories such as silencers or compensators.
