Aftermath Guns?

Are they any good? From what i have read they seem to be a good gun, but they are on the cheaper side.

theguy July 13th, 2009 23:12

.... Goggle?

Type aftermath into the search bar at the top?

Is it really that hard?

Evans July 13th, 2009 23:14

Aren't Aftermaths just rebranded CYMAs?

Thenooblord July 13th, 2009 23:16

Yes they are CYMA, and for the bang for the buck, they make really good starter guns, at only 150 bucks, you have nothing to really lose.

Muffin July 13th, 2009 23:16

It's a good starter package, but the QC is rather low, so buyer beware.

the kracken is their best gun, i have one, modded the shit out of it and now i have a really reliable ak!, their mp5 are more flimsy, they would require more attention out of the box than a kracken. again the quality control seems to lacks, so sometimes you'll get an awesome performer and sometime you'll catch a lemon... if you really want to go for an aftermath gun, go for kracken + new shim job, spring guide, bushings and you should end up with a quite reliable gun...

IceTray July 13th, 2009 23:17

They're fine. Sometimes you get a lemon.
Many people are fine using them. Others will swear against them. They are pretty much compatible with upgrades.

Its your choice.
Next time though, you should research the brand and gun via the forums, or google.

Edit: damnit. lemega posted seconds before me, haha

Thenooblord July 13th, 2009 23:19

hell, if you get a good one like i did, you wont even need to shim and replace bushings, I ran my kraken stock for almost a year without any problems, i got it for only 120 so i figured it wasnt worth my time to upgrade or spend any money on it

Grudge July 14th, 2009 00:19

I've been running my Broxa for over a year, no problems. I'm putting in a new Madbull barrel and hop up rubber to get a little better performance, but other than that I'll be leaving it as it is! Crono's at 355 FPS right now with .2's.

Amos July 14th, 2009 00:21

They're ok...

Some are complete piles of crap... others are decent.

I'd recommend buying a Cansoft G&G AK over a kraken though.. Kraken's have fitment issues.

pusangani July 14th, 2009 01:44

Never had any fitment issues with Krakens, front ends slide into both TM, JG and Cyma plastic bodies, same with batt. trays and gearboxes, some issues with Element metal bodies though, but those have issues with all brands of Gearboxes tho, no issues going onto a Cyma metal body either, I'd have to say they are 100% compatible with TM and it's clones.

as for Lycaons they are absolute crap, the slither stock is pot metal and will break, the gun is underpowered (at least mine was) and the hopup is really shitty.

the Broxa isn't much better but it is better than the Lycaon though, and I'm sure someone will post that retarded Broxa torture test youtube vid which seems to pop up everytime that gun is mentioned, silly noobz
