Can you cut an air nozzle?
I recently took apart my marui clone...an amazingly high-quality Lycaon...lol...and i was wondering if you could cut the tip off of the air nozzle a few millimeters without it impeeding (did i spell that right?) the performance ie:fps.
Also instead of starting a new thread...i got a new air nozzle (modify) and its too tight...it just won't fit on the cylinder head (at least too tight for it to slide properly...even with lube), and was wondering if getting a new cylinder head by modify would solve that problem...or would i then just have to get a new cylinder and so on.... Thanks for the imput, Matt EDIT: I forgot to mention that the reason for cutting the air nozzle back would be because it sticks out too much in the hop-up unit and it doesn't let the BB's feed...at all. The shell of the actual gun won't shut if i move the gearbox back a couple millimeters...and the hop-up has designated holes so its screwed in place...so the only thing i could think of was trimming the air nozzle... |
has the nozzle every impeded the BB path in the feed tube before? I don't recommend it as it appears there would be other issues with your "amazingly high-quality Lycaon". it it came from the store that way, you should have returned it.
you need to figure out what else is causing your feed issues as I highly doubt it's the nozzle unless it was originally causing feed issues. if the new nozzle is also blocking the feed tube, you might have got the wrong one. |
