ICS M4 upper gearbox spring!...

So I was taking my upper gearbox out to change the spring... When I finally got to the spring, I can't seem to pull out the spring...

Anyone know anything about this please let me know...

What do you mean exactly?

Unscrew the screws, take the mechbox halves apart, and take out the spring.

It's attached to the piston head...

There's a small hole on top though...

I've tried pushing on it with a pin but no help there...

I'm not sure about ICS specifically, but on many stock AEGs, the piston head is screwed on to piston. Go to mechbox.com and watch the video of the V2 spring change. Its not for an ICS, but you will get the idea.

Hold the piston body and twist the piston head counter-clock-wise.
The screw that holds the head and the spring to the piston body is soldered (for lack of a better word) in to the piston head.

Here's what it looks like.

What's the metal part for?
