Problem with NEW KJW G23

Hey Folks

I just bought a NEW KJW G23 Super Real Gas Gun.

The FIRST TIME I tried it, it LOCKS in the safety mode after every FIRE.

So it doesn't Blowback, only back and then locks,,,I have to pull the safety down with my Thumb to get it to fire and fully blowback.

Why is the little latch going up all the time???
Is the SPRING in that latch weak or something?
Anything I can do?
I tried oiling it without any difference.

I told the dealer and he wasn't any help, talking about REPAIRING it....I didn't pay for a DAMAGED gun so why I have to do a repair pisses me off as it's brand new!
I don't want this to get ugly with the dealer as I don't respond to getting fu**ed over very well.

Hopefully I'm doing something wrong that I'm missing as I haven't used a GB for years.

thanks
A.

... there is no safety on a glock... are you talking about the mag-catch if so :LOL normal operation if there is no bb's in the mag LOL

to solve : just put bb's in the mag ...

Usually dealers have a 1 week lemon policy if something is wrong with your airsoft just return and replace.

What he said. Your gun is functioning as an airsoft gun should. A real Glock, without a round in the chamber, would just let the hammer down, but since you have a gassed mag in the gun, when you pull the trigger it tries to fire a bb... which isn't there, so it tells you PUT SOME BBs IN ME, by opening it's mouth like a child.

EDIT: I should report you to a domestic abuse center... feed your children.

OMG what a NEWB I am.

You're right worked with BB's in it just fine.
WHEW! I had a feeling I was missing something simple.

Thanks guys.

There is a safety on the glock, if you turn the gun upside down there is a little silver slide, move that and it makes the gun safe (the trigger is unmovable)

I did the same thing, I cocked it with out bbs in it and I was like WTF, did I just break it or something because I couldn't get the slide to move back, until i realized there was a slide release....

I did the exact same thing when I picked up my new kjw glock 32, took me a minute to realize you cant semi auto dry fire it.

It's Tokyo Marui's work around to implement a physical trigger safety, enforced by Japanese law. If I recall, their 226 has a strange safety too.

And since KJW is a TM clone... you do the math.

yup the 226's safety is the take down lever that you have to push out to lock the trigger... but its got a decocker so i just use the decocker lol

chronic August 25th, 2009 20:45

while were on this topic, I do have a question

does KJW use the same style Hop up rubbers as TM?

Thanks
