Disabling semi auto mode on M16

Dear sir,
Is there any way I can disable semi auto mode permanently on my M16?

Thank you

I imagine you could do it by filing down the semi-auto cutoff lever or something, but why would you want to?

Dear sir,
apparently, my M16 jammed when I switch to semiauto but work properly when I switch to auto. I'm tired of figuring what's wrong with it, so I decided to disable the semi auto mode. Is there anyway you guys can help me solve this problem?

Thank you

You can simply leave the lever at Full auto..

did you really need to create a second thread on pretty much the same issue?

I don't think disabling semi is necessary as botch mentions just leave it in full auto mode.

If you're determined, however, you don't need to file down the cut off lever. Just remove it. AFAIK This shouldn't cause any other problems other than removing semi-auto function.

(I could see why he'd want to do this, rather than risk flipping it to semi and seizing his gun up ingame)

Have you tried finding a local gun doctor who could take a look at it?

yes but diagnosing the problem and fixing it is better in the long run rather than finding a work around for a patch job.

what's broken or not working will still be broken or not working.

Plus, it's great for the guns health to shoot once or twice in Semi auto to ensure the chamber is clear and the spring is decompressed!

90% of the time that's caused by people letting off the trigger before the mechbox is finished cycling.

Assuming they have a normal gun...

My bet is an 8.4v mini pulling a 400fps spring...

Here's a post from his other thread (would have been easier if he didn't make a second thread), the battery is not the problem in this case.
