Need help finding 5.56 dummy round belt for M249

Hey guys,

As the title states I'm looking for a belt of 5.56 dummy round ammo for my CA M249. I've found several from online retailers outside of Canada and I don't know the rules for replica/dummy bullets and importation, so I'm just going to go ahead and assume its illegal.

So can any direct me to a source in Canada?

Talk to ArmyIssue about that.

Anyone who knows where to get dummy 7.62x51mm rounds?

So just to clarify... its ok to import dummy rounds? I thought it might be illegal because magazines with visible dummy rounds were illegal to import. I might look into it I've also recieved a few pm's with people offering some for sale so I may persue that instead.

Unless the dummy is clearly not a live bullet it is illegal. Dont ask me why can people import live ammo but not dummy. When I say clearly inert I mean like clear plastic, rubber, etc. Examples are: Magpul dummy rounds, and Snap Cap

I can attest to the realism of G&Ps rounds. If customs doesnt grab them, youll be very satisfied. Better than Inokatsu rounds.

or like heavy metal stores?

yes i said belts like to hold up your pants

Dude, the short strip is only 19.95v plus shipping. the 223. Also have the 762x39 in short strip 19.95 both are long enough with a few extra rounds to cover the feed tube.

There are two places in the GTA I've seen them. One is the Dixie Mall (flea market downstairs) he's selling them as fashion accessories!!

The other is an army surplus store at Queen and Jarvis.

They are pricey though.

Anyone that reloads can punch out 5.56 dummy rounds pretty easily, making a fake primer might take a little artistic touch or just leave the spent primer in.

As for mag links... head down to your local CF armory and make friends with a C9 gunner. Or buy him a timmies double double. Whichever works. :D
