Reducing laser MW rating

I've just got my AN/PEQ-15 with green laser and lipo. At the time I bought it, I didn't realise what 30mw could cause. I was aware that lasers were potentionally dangerous, but after looking for more information, it seems that at this rating, it's dangerous even if it isn't directly targeted at someone's eye... Why the fuck do they sell this for use on toys? Lol.

Being now aware of this, I'm looking for a way to change the laser emitter to a 5W (or less) without rewiring everything.

This is this product: http://www.px-airsoft.com/showroom/m...03518546004487

Note that from the beginning, I intended the AN/PEQ mainly for the battery box use, looks, and the laser for target shooting.

the only way to do this without altering the circuit, is to change you batterys output but either putting in a resistor between the laser and your batter to lower you current or put in a lower battery, i dont have and recomendations on what your current out put should be, and you have to check what your mW will be after lowering the current.

I think I'll just install the Vanaras <5mw laser http://www.rsov.com/index.php?target...roduct_id=2955 and add a resistor between the laser's connector and the laser itself.

Too bad I won't be able to keep the badassness of a green laser, but security's a must...
