Quick Question?

Why are imported or custom ordered guns doubled or tripled the regular price?

Rock 'N' Roll Outlaw October 24th, 2009 18:01

Because of the trouble that is needed to get them in country. The amount of people it takes can range from 1-5 and they all want a buck or two. In the end though it just comes down to the process of supply and demand. The people willing to stick their necks on the line dont wanna do this for nothing, and people will be willing to pay the money for it. As the guns get re-sold back and forth they can either go down very little or no difference at all.

Most of the stuff you asked, common sense should have came to the rescue. Apparently not.

Honestly I think he's pretty irritated about the p90's he's after isnt as available as he had expected.

Its just simply the way it is up here. So you have to approach this hobby with open arms and be prepared to take the next best thing.

Things won't change for a while now i'm afraid.

I try never to look at the guns for sale on foreign websites; the low, low prices just piss me off.

I'm thinking of a gun I recently bought in-country for $375 that goes for 'round about $100 from Hong Kong.

He posted in the Newbie forum like he's supposed to, and you still have to say something like this? I don't get it.

im curious as to when this guy can finally get over the fact that he can't get a gun for $100.

Kuro_Neko October 24th, 2009 21:15

Everyone ragging on the guy, knock it off. This is what the newbie tank is for. If you can't read posts like that without flaming then stay out the of tank.

In answer to the question: The prices in Canada are twice to three times as much because of the risk and expense of getting the guns past Canadian customs. Full black guns are illegal to import except with specific hard to get and expensive licences.

As was previously mentioned, don't bother looking at the prices on US or Asian sites, you'll just frustrate yourself. Once you've accepted that a basic starter gun is going to be at least $300 and a high end gun is going to be at least $500, more like $600-$700 you'll be much better off.
