Scope Zoom?

Does anyone know what zoom this scope is? Is it 4x? or it that referring to the size?

Thanks, steven

Its a 4x32 scope, wich means it has a 4x zoom and a 32mm objective (or front lens)

Steven October 31st, 2009 00:49

Oh okay. Would this be better? It had 3x for shooting, and higher for observation and spotting.

The second one will be better, larger objective lense and better zoom abilities............... and, it'll have a better chance of fitting on your gun. Likely rings aren't included, so you'd have to buy separately. The first scope you posted is for an airgun, it won't fit on any airsoft guns due to the mount.

Well, the Maruzen APS-2 is stock with a Dovetail mount. Either i find a replacement Weaver, which i cant, or find Dovetail rings, which i cant. Pretty much stuck at the moment.

for the record I may have mixed up weaver and dovetail... and I may be forgetting a 3rd rail classification...

Buuuuut I'm fairly sure I got 'em right.

Haha alright. But so far ive check airsoft parts, uncompany, redwolf, x-fire, and so far i havent found anything. Anyone know where to get a standard 20mm rail to fit the Maruzen APS-2SV?

It is, but the first choice of scopes you showed has a smaller airgun groove, 3/8" if I remember correctly, and you have a 20mm rail to fit it on. Don't cheap out on a scope, and don't buy an airsoft replica rifle scope. Get real steel, period. If it's made by Crosman, prepare to waste your money on something you can't even buy rings for to fit your rifle.

I've actually decided to get the Latter, The Bushnell scope, which is much better.

so are they're Dovetail Rings? Or what do i do?

Likely they are, but are they included with the scope? Most scopes dont include them. Also, depending on height and what you need for eye protection, you'll likely need to buy the high type mounts to get a proper cheek weld. Medium height rings on a sniper rifle, using paintball goggles, you'll find the goggles get in the way and shoved aside a bit just to be able to see through the scope properly. High mounts work better, but PB goggles should still be avoided.

Looking again, those rings won't work on your rifle, but that scope doesn't come with those rings anyways. You'll have to buy separately. You'll need high mount, with Weaver style base (20mm dovetail).

pickup the scope and measure the diameter where the rings mount, then order the one that will fit from airsoft parts. you can PM Jugglez if you are still unsure which rings will fit. just give him the dimensions and he can measure on his end.

alternatively, you could try to PM HELLFIRE989 (Jason) from metal tech as he's more local to you. I'm having problems viewing their website at the moment so I'm not 100% sure he's got mounting rings.

Alright, it seems pretty complicated, maybe i can find an old Standard rail, and Tap holes nicely in order to mount it. Or just keep looking!

Amos November 3rd, 2009 12:49

I found something online for a CZsomething .22 rifle that converts the 11mm dovetail to a weaver rail... Soo that makes me think there has to be a weaver rail that'll slide over a dovetail and clamp down...

If not... One of the machinists on here should really create such a thing.

Steven November 3rd, 2009 12:52

I agree, but im sure one will turn up somewhere. Ill just keep looking until it does.

Seems dovetail and Weaver are different types. Weaver is what you want though for that rifle.
