Have to come check it out one day.... How many sq feet is this place?

HGI January 19th, 2010 19:05

Looks sweet kept all the sticky paint everywhere ready to be smudged on you if you lean on anything.

jzaragoza January 19th, 2010 19:30

Actually the paint we have on hand tends to dry up like mud and just crack off. field is powerwashed every week.

cbcsteve January 19th, 2010 19:54

Hmmm looks like you guys took some of the outdoor field stuff and put it in the indoor.

Looks nice, I love the tubes to crawl through reminds me of my childhood days

Perhaps I'll host some Defcon games once again

Looks sick, hopefully i can come down to try it out sometimes. Any problems with sand getting in the guns and what not.

pusangani January 19th, 2010 22:49

ANcorp and I were there to check it out today, I must say it's a drastic improvement over the original layout and a good use of the space, Steve I think you should ;)

Althought it doesn't offer the kind of cqb environment that CQB paintball does, the place looks ten times more fun than it did before, good for skirmishing.

Unless you're running a dropleg and crawling you should be fine, and so long as you don't drop your gun in the sand, there's an air compressor in the staging area for the sand tho.

He's right, they use some special paint there that turns to crud and doesn't stay greasy for years afterwards, makes it easy to cleanup for them

even with the paint that dries, still not feeling it. too much sand still.

jzaragoza January 20th, 2010 11:24

It is a paintball field... and unfortunately paint can get slippery and be dangerous for players. Sand is a soft surface to land on.

Its fine that you arent "feeling it." But may i just remind you that it is just sand and not something really damaging. Granted that your gear gets dirty... But thats a simple fix? I personally enjoy maintaining my airsoft and paintball weapons.

When I started my guns and most of my gear was covered in sand and needed extensive cleaning. Overtime you just learn not to dump your gear all over the sand.

Its an operating environment and is not deadly... I assume you play airsoft for the "Milsim" aspect? and not just to collect guns to talk about with people?

IceTray January 20th, 2010 13:37

That looks pretty good, haha. You should talk to the indoor paintball owners here, give them some advice. Looks like it would be a lot of fun to play at, maybe if I'm ever in Toronto with all my gear, good work though, looks great.

DuffMan January 20th, 2010 14:11

Very cool. I hadn't given Defcon a try yet, it's tempting now.

Able1 January 20th, 2010 14:20

Ive played there already im one of the guys help build it, Its great really forces movement and the fight is not in designated spots anymore the fight can be anywhere. There is less lane fighting like there was in the old set up and this one is more dynamic more levels. The games there are 3Xs longer than they used to be.
