Magazines for AGM GBBR M4?

I recently bought an AGM from here and I'm having a hell of a time finding compatible and affordable magazines for it.

Gasguns.info are saying that the new Pro Win mags are having problems with fitting in the magwell, do not fit the mag catch, and vents gas everywhere when shooting.

I tried a GHK mag the other day and it was a tight fit and it would spew gas everywhere when inserting.

I am looking for 5KU mags as they are the ones that usually work with AGM but I can't find them in stock anywhere. It looks like they are out of production. The Chinese government raided the AGM factory so AGM mags are unavailable as well.

Where can I find compatible yet affordable magazines? (no $100+ WAs please). Huang said that he knew of KS magazines coming out the end of January but he hasn't replied to my many inqueries about these.

1)Fits magwell fine, some issue with Ino but remedied easily by removing the logo plate

2) Maybe, but not a hard mod to do IF you have problem at all.

2)Untrue....

Prowin will be better than any 5KU/AGM/I-am-made-of-lead-and-weigh-a-ton mags....

've just got 3 ProWin Mags:

The mags would not fit in all the way in the Magwll because of the mag catch, so I filed down the mag catch a bit.
Now when I fire my gun (using the new Mags) gas vents everywhere

Im sure I have not removed to much from the Mag Catch because I literally spent hours filing a bit of, refiting, testing, and repeating until it fit.
Ive tested with the AGM (oem) Bolt & Carrier and a CNC'd VLTOR Bolt Carrier & RA-Tech Alu Bolt and I get the same issue on both.
Judging from this user's first hand experience, he would disagree with you. This isn't a criticsm of the Pro Win mags, just a compatibility issue.

shock if you really want mags for that chinese clone...G&P Mags probably be your next best hope

RacingManiac February 6th, 2010 22:08

I read his thread, but I still think he trimmed down too much. His magwell issue and magcatch is related. Prowin asks for 0.2mm I believe on their site, which is minute. If he judges the "trial and error" based on if it goes in freely, then when it does it might have just completely not contacting the nozzle anymore.

My experience is that they fit "tight" to my WOC, probably because it is compressing the seal slightly. But as such it will seat if it was inserted with a bit more force(and no problem at all if the bolt is locked back, and released once inserted).

Now from experience, the loosest fitting mag I've encountered is Bomber(and conincidentally they also turn the lowest FPS of all the mags I have). The new G&P might be the same(since they are apparently Bomber also), but I have not received mine yet....

I'll buy one of each and see what works best. I'm still hoping for a Chinese factory to put out more cheaper mags.

I know guys are big on all the high end WA stuff and if I could afford that, that's cool, but I am honestly quite happy with the cheaper clone parts and this gun is never intended to be anything more than a sub $600 indoor skirmish weapon for fun locations like Claybank, the Hospital (RIP), Westjet building, etc.

It's got an indoor bolt, outdoor bolt, steel bolt catch, Ra-tech nozzle and npas, anti rotation link, a few homemade mods, and gun wise, everything is perfect now under $600. The issue is just finding some cheap mags per my preference.

I've read all your threads many times over and I appreciate all the research and work you put into these things but manufacturers and what is made is changing all the time and surprising things pop up on RSOV or PX Airsoft or KHMountain often enough and I was hoping somebody may have spotted something on a Chinese site that I wasn't familiar with. I am perfectly happy with cheap 5KU/AGM(lightweight)/JG/KS magazines and replacing problematic seals myself and I will continue looking for them or hoping that Huang comes through with KS.

Would you recommend KUI over GHK for PMAG projects?
