There's also a risk that if its stored in an open RIS handguard, a BB could hit it. Then BOOM.
IMO if you're gonna run a lipo up front, store it a proper housing (like an AN/PEQ) to prevent it from getting damaged and save yourself the hassles/potential injuries.
