I've always found the screw on the KA RIS cover to be too short. I usually sub in another screw that's longer. Without a longer screw it won't push down on the spring guide block and the RIS will slide forward and back about 1mm.

if you have a spare RAS screw from the FAL RAS or any other RAS it will fit and fill the scope mount hole nicely and the height is perfect just like the pictures below
