I was implying that if the mag seats too high, or if the rubber is riding so high that it jams the loading nozzle, it can hang up the recoil of the slide.
Take the slide off. Insert a "good" mag and note how far up it sits. Then insert the "bad" mag.
Also note that as similar as they appear...the manufacuring tolerances of airsoft stuff isn't always the best. Could just be a plain old lemon.
Also...make sure the blow back unit in the slide is tight...not Hulk tight, just snug. They tend to work loose.
